Another week has gone by, and luckily, there was no more snow. More time for applique!
I thought housework could wait, but Daisy (DD's Chocolate Lab) went under the bed for something and came out resembling a sheep, so I had to give in and do some dusting and vacuuming to get rid of all those dust bunnies. As a result, these blocks are only glued.

The colors are starting to grow on me, I think I might like this design after all! I still have 4 more blocks to design, and the setting triangles, so I don't think it'll be finished anytime soon.

Last month I joined Lindi's Get It Done Challenge here: http://gidchallenge.blogspot.com/ and am hoping it will spur me on to finish a couple of projects I started before I began designing my own patterns, 10 years ago! I have 8 blocks of Brandywines' Twelve Days Of Christmas completed and am hoping I will be able to finish it this year. I'll keep you updated on my progress(I hope!)
Bye for now. Happy Stitching.

More Snow, and Applique

I've just come in from shovelling, again!! It's getting beyond a joke, enough is enough!! On a more positive note though, I am getting a good workout.
With the miserable weather, I've spent more time indoors working on my applique, and I have 3 more blocks of the new(old) Vintage Tiles blocks sewn. I think it's growing on me! LOL
I've changed the layout, yet again, and I'll need to come up with a few more blocks, but I think it'll be okay.
Here are the new ones:

Snow, Snow and More Snow!

I can't remember when we've had as much snow as we have had this winter. I spent 2 hours yesterday shovelling the driveway, and they're calling for more today! I hate it and I'm aching all over! LOL DH went out this morning, before he left for work, to clear around the side and back of the house, so the delivery men can bring in the new washer and dryer. They're supposed to leave the old ones on the curb to be picked up, but they'll have to leave them on top of the piles of snow!
On the quilting front, I decided to try and finish a few old projects. These blocks were for the Vintage Tiles quilt I was designing last year, but I changed my mind about the colours and shelved them. Since I had 8 blocks glued and ready for applique I decided to try and finish them. I have no idea how I'm going to put this one together, but for now it's something I can do while resting my weary bones, after shovelling! LOL

What do you think? I think I still prefer the look of the neutrals, but I might change my mind by the time I get this one put together.
